Landlord Tenant Agreement

After preparing a valid Landlord Tenant Agreement the landlord needs to do the following:

•  Get it signed by the tenant and thereafter sign, himself;

•  Attach the money receipt of the security deposit and the updated inventory list;

•  Give the original copy of the Landlord Tenant Agreement with the attachments to the rent payer;

•  File the second copy for future use.

Points included in a valid Landlord Tenant Agreement

Before signing the contract make sure that the following points are made clear:

•  The period of possession of the property;

•  Whether the property is rented on monthly basis or its leased out;

•  The exact rent amount payable by the rentor and provisions for rent hike (if any);

•  Name, mailing address, phone no. etc. of the person authorized to collect the rent and to be contacted during urgency;

•  Clauses for untimely termination of the Landlord Tenant Agreement by either of the two parties involved.
